Dominican painter born in a north west city called Monte Cristi in the Dominican Republic in the year 1931. He studied at the National Art School for four years, then moved to Europe and the United States at a young age where he continued doing his art studies. After graduating at the San Fernando Art Academy in Madrid, Spain, standing out significantly in drawing and watercolor, also did some work in the art of murals.
He was characterized by the use of the colors green, blue, gray and red. He was excellent in portraits and seascapes, with the latter style that led him to international fame. He participated in many solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, and his works are in the hands of collectors and museums worldwide. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest Dominican painters of all time. He died in the year 1995.

Pintor dominicano nacido en el año 1931 en una ciudad del noroeste llamada Monte Cristi en la República Dominicana. Estudió en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes por cuatro años, después se trasladó a Europa y los Estados Unidos a una edad joven, donde continuó haciendo sus estudios de arte. Era excelente en retratos y los paisajes marinos, con este último estilo lo condujeron a la fama internacional. Participó en muchas exposiciones individuales y colectiva nacionalmente e internacionalmente, y sus trabajos están en las manos de coleccionistas y museos por todo el mundo. Es indudablemente uno de los pintores dominicanos más grandes. Murió en el año 1995.
