Pan American Union
Pan American Union, the organization formed in 1890 to promote cooperation among the countries of Latin America and the U.S. It was established (as the International Union of American Republics) at the first Pan American conference, which was called by U.S. Secretary of State in order to reach agreements on various common commercial and juridical problems among the countries of the Americas. In 1948 it was reconstituted as the Organization of American States.

Unión Panamericana, Organización creada en 1890 para promover la cooperación entre los países de América Latina y los EE.UU. Fue establecida (como la Unión Internacional de Repúblicas Americanas) en la primera Conferencia Panamericana, que fue llamada por el Secretario de Estado norteamericano con el fin de llegar a acuerdos sobre diversos problemas comerciales y jurídicos comunes entre los países de las Américas. En 1948 se reconstituyó como la Organización de los Estados Americanos.
